Every now and then, the electric car industry comes together in a sort of Woodstock-of-the-Watt-Hour to take stock of itself and to exchange ideas, sign contracts and maybe have a beer. The most recent parliament of the plug-in was last week in San Diego at an annual industry event known as Plug-In 2013, although obviously they change the year in the title as necessary. 2014 Maserati Ghibli spotted shooting ads in Rotterdam

Maserati revealed the Ghibli sedan ahead of the Shanghai auto show in April. Now a production version has been caught on the roads -- sans camouflage -- in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in a sweet shade of royal blue. The license plate reads “301 kw” suggesting that this is the upgraded Ghibli S, which makes 410 hp at 5,500 and 405 lb-ft of torque.

LA Motor Show: Porsche launches 192mph Panamera Turbo S

THE SCINTILLATING Panamera Turbo S has been launched at twin events at the Tokyo and Los Angeles motor shows. The new flagship at the top of the firm’s grand tourer line-up packs a 562bhp punch from a twin-turbocharged V8 engine mounted at the front, with drive transmitted to all four wheels via a sophisticated drive system that can shift torque to whichever wheels can best use it. Displaying true supercar pace, the Turbo S can catapult to 62mph in just 3.8 seconds on the way to a top speed of 192mph.
