July Debut For Citroen’s New C1 City Car

THE BATTLE for hearts and minds in the city has just got hotter with the launch of Citroen’s second generation C1 urban runabout. Although the diminutive French hatch shares much with its Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo stablemates, the C1’s bold new exterior look shares more with recent arrivals such as the firm’s new Picasso people carrier. Sharing much in common with the new Galaxy, the S-Max aims to have greater dynamic appeal and retain a closer connection with Ford of Europe's 'Kinetic Design' ethos. Differences include the dropping window-line that pushes back to form a triangular D-pillar and round fog lamps at the front.

Design Contest: ANFIA announces Italian Styling - Young Designers Competition 2004

The deadline for entries in the fourth edition of the 'Stile Italiano Giovani' design competition (Italian Styling - Young Designers) is coming up. The competition is a biennial event run by the designers of the ANFIA Coachbuilders Group, who have set out to help discover new talent in the field of car design. The target of the initiative is to find and select new talents from all over the world, capable of interpreting and fostering the tradition of Italian automotive design.
