Bugatti sells its last Veyron

Bugatti has sold the last of its 300 Veyron 16.4 supercars. The customer of the final Veyron is based in Europe and is new to the Bugatti marque. Bugatti Veyron: the controversial king of the supercar world Volkswagen Group picked up the Bugatti name in 1998, following the 1995 bankruptcy of Romano Artioli's Modena-based Bugatti factory, which had produced the EB110 quad-turbo V12 supercar.

New models to spur sales, J. D. Power says

A flood of new-model introductions this year will help pump sales volume for the industry, according to forecasts from J.D. Power and Associates. Automakers have scheduled 60 new or substantially redesigned model introductions this year, compared with just 36 in 2010, by Power's count.

Following the recent acquisition of a majority stake in the Chrysler Group by Cerburus comes the announcement that there will be a reshuffling at Chrysler's North American design offices.  Joseph Dehner and Brandon Faurote will be taking over Vice President positions at the product design offices in Auburn Hills, replacing Thomas Tremont and David McKinnon. Joseph Dehner will be replacing David McKinnon as Vice President for Small, Premium and Family Vehicle Design on June 1, 2007, moving up from his position as Director of Truck Exterior and Interior Design.
