DRT harmonically balanced rotor will help reduce the humming noise during braking. Conventional (old school) cross drilled or slotted rotor create harmonic frequencies (humming noise) during braking. Harmonically balanced drilled/slotted rotors are none directional 180 degree opposite direction. When the brake pedal is applied, one side will create positive harmonic frequencies, and the opposite side will create negative harmonic frequencies. The positive and negative frequencies will counter balance each other to reduce humming noise. DRT harmonically balanced rotors will eliminate humming noise in the cabin for a comfortable driving experience.

Harmonically balanced rotors does not have any negative affect on the performance nor will it reduce the longevity of the rotor.

Excellent for street use, cross drilled increase cooling, improve pad bite. The slot help keep pads surface clean and improve the initial pad bite. A great compliment for open spoke wheels.

Slotted:

Recommended for aggressive driver, sport driving, and towing application. The slot will increase pad initial bite when brake pedal is applied, dissipate heat, keep the pads surfaces clean and free of glazing. Since it is not cross drilled there is no sacrifices in the structural integrity of the rotor.

General Motors Co., trying to position Chevrolet as a key global brand, is killing the long-used GM Daewoo name in South Korea and putting the Chevy bowtie on its cars there. The name GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co., in use since GM took over the struggling South Korean automaker in 2002, will be phased out by the end of March. The new name will be GM Korea Co., the company said in a statement.
