Hyundai celebrates 10 years of 5 Year Warranty – & we get Mint Imperials
Thu, 06 Sep 2012Hyundai are celebrating a decade of their 5 year warranty in the UK, a warranty deal that has forced other car makers’ warranties to improve. Before Hyundai became a real mainstream force in the car market they launched a five year warranty on their cars as an unbeatable sign of faith in their product. It’s now ten years since Hyundai rolled out their warranty – which covers everything for 5 years and for an unlimited mileage – and long before Hyundai cars were ready to be mentioned in the same breath as the offerings from more established car makers.
Hyundai Curb concept
Fri, 07 Jan 2011Hyundai has teased its NAIAS concept, the Curb, ahead of its official unveiling next week, where it will debut alongside a production version of the company's Veloster coupe. The Curb is a compact crossover with a coupe roofline, tapered DLO and exaggerated wheel arches reminiscent of the Nissan Juke, and is similarly difficult to judge in terms of scale from these images. While its exterior appears production feasible, the Curb's interior would seem to live up to its 'concept' billing, with extensive use of smart materials and touchscreen HMI.
GM reportedly set to sign deal on Thursday to sell Opel
Tue, 13 Oct 2009General Motors Co. likely will sign a deal on Thursday to sell a majority stake in Opel to a group led by Magna International Inc., German news agencies reported, citing sources close to the negotiations. GM agreed on September 10 to sell 55 percent of Opel to Canadian supplier Magna and its Russian partner Sberbank, but the deal stumbled amid labor union demands for a veto on factory closures and concern in the UK and Spain that 4.5 billion euros ($6.7 billion) in aid pledged by the German government for restructuring Opel favored the carmaker's German factories.
