Please read all before you bid and understand why some items are noted as “FREIGHT”.

Selling on E-Bay is not free! I have to pay a listing fee then I have to pay E-bay a commission based upon the final sale price of that item and the shipping cost at 10%. I lose money every time on the shipping as I charge exact cost! Then Pay Pal charges me a fee of 3% to get collect the money from the buyers.  E-bay wants sellers to ship items for free. If I where selling greeting cards I would do that. However I am selling heavy auto parts and cannot absorb those shipping costs. My parts are listed at a very fair start price and there are no shenanigans like others do. They will go for what they go for regardless. That is a TRUE auction.

I usually do not pre-box my items as I find buyers buy more than one item. Also the E-Bay shipping calculator is not accurate and more of an estimator and can not make accurate quotes for insurance beyond the starting price of an item. I mainly use Fed Ex ground to ship items as Fed Ex is far more cost effective over UPS and the Post Office on larger items and shipping insurance is free up to $100.00. Over $100.00 Fed Ex does charge a fee but that fee is way less than the Post Office. Fed Ex offers a superior tracking system which follows package at every step of the way. The Post office tracking system does not. I will use the Post Office flat rate priority boxes when possible or for lighter small low value items. I do not inflate shipping costs or charge any handling fees. You pay actual costs. Bear in mind there are variances in weight scales but I try very hard to get the shipping weight as correct as possible. Free shipping is for continental US sales only when listed as such. Please review my feedback and bid with confidence.

PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE CHECK OUT AT AUCTION END OR PAY FOR ITEM UNTILL I SEND INVOICE WITH SHIPPING CHARGES THROUGH E-BAY SYSTEM.

I will send you a notice after the sale on items noted as freight with the shipping cost. Do not pay before invoice is sent. Again there is no inflation and no extra charges for packing and handling of your parts.

I try to ship parts as quickly as possible sometimes the same day or next day. I will list tracking numbers in E-Bay from Fed Ex once shipped out. Thanks.

This is a fresh rotating balanced assembly. The crank is a Ford 351C nodular cast iron that was offset ground to result a 372.s cubic inch motor. The mains are standard 351C cut to 0.10 under. Aston Martin teases new car – could this be the ‘Final Edition’ V12 Vantage? (video)

Sat, 25 May 2013

This tease image from the Aston Martin video appears to show a V12 Vantage outline We reported recently that Aston Martin had told its dealers to stop taking orders for the V12 Vantage Coupe, which we took to mean the Vantage is coming to the end of its shelf life, at least in its current iteration. But a tease video Aston Martin has released for a new car perhaps – ‘Coming Soon’ – points to a final edition version of the V12 Vantage Coupe before it gets put out to grass. The video (below) does show what appears to be a V12 Vantage; it’s the right shape, it has bonnet vents, bits of carbon fibre and an exhaust that sounds about right.

The Jaguar F-Type's a closet Star Wars geek

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Our friends over at Jalopnik are currently at Jaguar F-Type media event over in Seattle, where they had a chance to catch up with its design Wayne Burgess (check out our full interview with him here), who revealed some interesting sources of inspiration for some of its detailing. The first is a real easter egg - a detail that once you've discovered it you can't help but see - the front lamp cans are based on Star Wars' TIE Fighter. What has been seen can not be unseen.
