This auction is for a Ford 8 inch Posi Track center section with new Motive Performance gears and a new Traction Lock posi carrier.  The carrier is a Ford factory 8 inch carrier that has a new heavy duty 4 pin, (4 spyder gears), Traction Lock installed.  This brand new 4 pin Traction Lock posi is an upgrade from the Ford factory Traction Lock that comes as a standard 2 pin, (2 spyder gears), type differential.  This third member has been assembled with all new Timken bearings, seal, O-ring and a new crush washer.  The gears are set up in the 8 inch heavy duty casing and has the standard drive shaft yoke common to almost all vehicles with an 8 inch Ford rear end.  All parts have been completely cleaned and the case has been painted similar to its original appearance. This assembly is for use with 28 spline axles and will replace any 8 inch single track since all 8 inch Ford rear ends are 28 spline.  The gears are available in all common 8 inch ratio’s and should run quiet and last for many miles unless abused.  This would be a very nice set up for a Street Rod that has an 8 inch Ford rear end because most of them came out with 2.79 ratio single track rear differentials which is not always compatible with performance engines or possibly overdrive transmissions.  Some applications for this center section would be Mustang Mach I, Cougar XR7, Falcon Futura, Torino GT, Fairlane 500 XL, Maverick Grabber, Comet GT, Montego MX, Pinto Rallye, Bobcat and Mustang II Cobra as long as they have a Ford 8 inch removable carrier type rear end.  Many of the 60’s and 70’s model Ford and Mercury compact and mid size vehicles with 289, 302 or 351 Windsor engines had 8 inch rear ends. This will not fit in a 9 inch Ford housing and is not related to the newer 7.5 or 8.8 Ford rear ends. This can be shipped FedEx/UPS and will ship from zip code 47660. Local pick is always welcome.  If you have a question feel free to e-mail or if you like call me @ 812-749-4308 9AM-9PM central time before you bid.  Full payment is expected within 5 days of auction close.  **Please note that there is a $75 core charge that will be added to the invoice.  The core charge will be refunded upon receipt of a 1967 up rebuildable core.** Sorry, no personal or business checks accepted.  Please check my other auctions for more gears and parts.  Thanks for looking.  Good Luck Bidding!!!

New Nissan Juke explodes in to view (sort of)

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

This, apparently, is the new Nissan Juke We’ve already seen a number of ‘teases’ for new cars due to debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show next month, and this afternoon it’s the turn of Nissan to tease the 2014 Juke facelift with a completely uninformative teaser image. The Nissan Juke – revealed four year ago at the Geneva Motor Show after a preview as the Nissan Qazana Concept the year before - brought Nissan’s funky compact crossover to the public’s attention and introduced a new ‘Ugly is Appealing’ look to mainstream motoring. But four years is a long time in the car world, and many other have tried to grab a piece of the Juke’s market place, so it’s time to give it a refresh with a facelifted version heading for Geneva next month.
