This auction is for one pair of long branch cast iron hi performance factory exhaust manifolds for a full size early 60's (61 thru 64?) Ford big car.  They typically came on Galaxies, Starliners, and such with high performance big block engines.  Buyer to insure they will fit his actual vehicle and options before bidding.  They are in good condition.  No broken ears or damage.  I bought them about 20 years ago and they have sat on the shelf since.  They were already coated at that time so I don't know what process was used.  It looks like Jet Hot to me.  The drivers side header is part number C3AE-9431-D (the D is illegible) and date code 1  11 3 (Jan 11, 1963).  The Passengers side header is part number C2AE-9430-B and date code 2 15 3 (Feb 15, 1963).

The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale.  Bidding is acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Item is for sale locally and the Seller reserves the right to end the auction at any time, for any reason.  All sales are final unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.  All exceptions, requests or amendments must be made in writing via email and agreed upon before the auction end, no exceptions.  There are no oral

Shipping will be done via UPS Ground, Insured for domestic addresses.  I prefer to ship in 2 separate boxes for weight and insurance issues.
Shipping would be a little more but will send as per buyer instructions.   The handling charge includes costs for delivery insurance.  These manifolds will weigh about 35 to 40 lb each in a box and each box approximately 36" x 18" x 10".  So the shipping will be double the calculated amount for two boxes.

Concept Car of the Week: Ford Mustang RSX Concept (1979)

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

In the late ‘70s, Ford commissioned carrozzeria Ghia to build a concept car based on the Fox platform to help promote its third generation Mustang. Probably inspired by the Escort RS's success at the World Rally Championship, the concept was dubbed RSX – standing for Rally Sport Experimental – and the Fox platform-based Mustang was modified as a rally car. To improve the handling, the wheelbase from the Fox was shortened by 142mm, the track was widened by around 25mm at the rear while the ride height was increased for off-tarmac stages of European rallies.

Alfa owners throw a party for iconic brand

Wed, 23 Jun 2010

Alfa Romeo turns 100 on June 24, and the Capital Chapter of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club (AROC) is celebrating the famed Milanese maker's centennial with a weeklong series of festivities called “Alfa Century 2010.” Centennial celebrations take place June 21-27 in numerous locations throughout the world including in Milan, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and during the Monterey weekend. But the Washington, D.C.-based AROC Capital Chapter's birthday bash represents the largest Alfa-exclusive commemoration in the United States. Chapter president Harlan Hadley said he expects a terrific turnout of Alfa Romeos from all eras of “Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili” (A.L.F.A.) history.

Mazda 3, Mazda 6 get customized for the SEMA Show

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

We like the look of Mazda's current lineup, from the basic 2 to the sleek 6. Kodo design language has a lot to do with it -- Mazda North American Operations design director Derek Jenkins says that, thanks that Kodo styling, "the Zoom-Zoom genetic code is further being embraced, not buried, through increasingly expressive vehicle design." (Ugh.-ED) We didn't know genetics had anything to do with it, but hey -- tough to argue with the results. Perhaps Kodo's effectiveness is why Mazda's SEMA show concepts are fairly...restrained compared to what other automakers are bringing to Las Vegas.
