Here is something you don't see very often. A spotless rust free tailgate for the 1964 1965 Ford Falcon Ranchero, Falcon Station wagon or Mercury Comet Station wagon. There is one good sized dent on right upper gate with 2 small holes from the original Ford dealer emblem on lower left side of this 65 Ranchero part.

The dent can easily be repaired with a spitznagle or dent fix stud gun. Damage was kept to the top crease of body line # 1 ,2, and 3 with 2 being the deepest, about a half inch in and #1 being the second deepest. #3 crease will roll back out if worked correctly while tapping on the top section at the same time.

Most body techs should be able to correctly repair it with minimal work. You will then have a very nice rust free tailgate that won't come back to haunt you later on with rust issues on your fresh paint.

There is no damage below on the concave area that you will have to work if pulled correctly all at once.

This is a very difficult piece to find in this condition. the backside is as clean as the front. (see backside picture) that's the original paint on back. If it wasn't for the dent this would be a perfect part.

A very hard part to find in any kind of usable condition.  Rust always seem to be a big problem with these on the backside lower ares. Most are even torn in the hinge areas by now.

This part will come with both lower main hinges (pictured) in great condition.  The dent damage is only superficial to the skin and not the structure. The shell fit the 65 Ranchero hole perfectly before removal and frame was not bent. Picture Iooks worse than it really is.

Compare prices and you will find this to be a great deal, it will also be priced out much less than most others you will find that are in much worse shape than this one.             ...................... Free Shipping......................

This will be a very nice part for your Ranchero restoration project.                     Or pick-up a spare today for later when they are even harder to find in rust free condition.

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 05 December 2013 05:00 CAR talks to Ford's executive director of design, responsible for the new 'Stang In America people have the reference point of the older car. When it goes abroad you can’t rely on that, so it needs to stand out and make its own statement. One of the challenges was to make sure everyone instantly recognised it, but also make it from the 21st century.

GM continues work on fuel-saving engine technology

Wed, 20 May 2009

Sometime in the next decade, you might be able to enjoy some of the benefits of a diesel without driving one. A technology called HCCI improves fuel economy 15 percent and releases fewer emissions by using a combustion process similar to what is used in diesel powerplants. General Motors continues work on the project, which could be applied across a range of engine sizes and used with other advanced fuel-saving technologies to help the company comply with the proposed new mileage and emissions targets announced Tuesday by President Barack Obama.

Ferrari supercars

Tue, 29 Jul 2008

By Tim Pollard 29 July 2008 09:00 Say 'supercar' and the man in the street thinks of Ferrari. Eponymous founding father Enzo set up in Modena in 1929 as the Scuderia race team, and it wasn't unitl 1947 that the first road cars appeared. Since then, virtually every model has come to define the contemporary supercar, although there have been some duds along the way too.
