221 260?? V8 ENIGINE WITH AUTOMATIC TRANS. THIS WAS SITTING IN A 1967 MUSTANG I JUST GOT. I WAS TOLD IT WAS REBUILT. IT TURNS OVER, BUT HAVE NO CLUE. HE TOLD ME IT CAME FROM A 1962 FORD FALCON. THE MOTOR IS COMPLETE. NOT SURE WHAT THE TRANS IS MAYBE C3???? I FOUND THE DRIVE SHAFT AND SOME MISC.. PULLEYS AND BRACKETS IN THE CAR THAT GO WITH. I AM PUTTING THE 6CYL BACK IN THE MUSTANG SO HAVE NO USE FOR THIS. WAS TOLD THIS MIGHT BE A 221???

It's going to happen sooner than we though -- the machines are going to take over. No need to jump in your car and drive to your uncle's fallout shelter where he's been stockpiling expired cans of tomato soup, though, at least not just yet. The machines in question are Volvos (pretty benign, right?), and the place they'll be taking over is Volvo's home town of Gothenburg, Sweden.

Lotus lusts after Lutz?

Lotus seem to be pursuing Bob Lutz The Lotus five year plan calls for the track day cars to make way for much more substantial and upmarket cars to become the force at Lotus; a move to become the Aston Martin East Anglia. Probably the first obvious move in this plan was to grab Dany Bahar from Ferrari last year (and Ferrari designer Donato Coco) and now Lotus are casting their net again to snare some big names to drive them forward. Top of the list is almost-octogenarian Bob Lutz who retired from GM – but certainly not from business – last year.
