Ford recalls 14,737 pickups and crossovers

Ford is recalling almost 15,000 vehicles, including some 2011 F-Series pickups, 2011 Lincoln MKXs and 2011 Ford Edges, to fix an electrical short in a body-control module that could cause a fire. Ford told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that modules built during a six-day period by a supplier could be faulty. So far, no injuries, crashes or fires have been reported.

The A-BAT is a compact pick-up, akin to a RAV4 in size, featuring a four-cylinder petrol/electric hybrid and solar panels built into the top of the dashboard efficient enough to power the sat-nav and other interior tools. Female pilots 'less trusted'

MALE PREJUDICE against women drivers appears to extend into plane cockpits as well, according to a survey. And in another blow for equality, the poll showed women were even more wary of female pilots than men. Overall, 51% of people admitted they were less likely to trust a woman pilot than a male one, the survey by travel agent sunshine.co.uk revealed.
