Want your 2013 Mercedes E63 AMG to look like an E220? Now you can.
Sat, 19 Jan 2013Mercedes are to offer a Business Line Pack for the 2013 E63 AMG which tones down its extreme looks and makes it look more prosaic. If you run a successful business, it’s important to look the part. But it’s equally important not to shout about your success (well, it is in Europe) too loudly or your workforce might think you should be paying them more instead of indulging your petrolhead side, and customers might decide you’re overcharging them if you look too flash.
Vauxhall Insignia facelift stars at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show
Wed, 11 Sep 2013Ten years on from the very first Insignia concept, unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in 2003, Vauxhall is showcasing a new, facelifted Insignia here at Frankfurt 2013. Part of the update to the Insignia is a new internet connectivity feature, which should make life on the road for travelling professionals a bit easier – now you can locate your nearest non-VAT qualifying hot food snack retailer in next to no time… We’re also fans of the rationalised trim range, down from 14 grades to eight for the new car. While the Insignia’s updated engine range boasts impressive efficiency (as we’ll see in a minute), we can’t help wondering if this might have been a good time to introduce a hybrid or range-extender powertrain, trumping Ford and its forthcoming Mondeo Hybrid in the process.
180,000 'lied over motor insurance'
Wed, 17 Sep 2014NEARLY 3,500 cases of motorists lying on their applications for insurance or deliberately leaving relevant information off them are being uncovered by insurers each week, new figures reveal. Some 180,675 attempts to make fraudulent applications for motor insurance as people tried to get cheaper cover than they were entitled to were detected last year, equating to around 3,475 incidents a week, according to data released by the Association of British Insurers (ABI). These claims were exposed as lies by the insurer either at the point when the person applied for a policy, or after they had obtained cover and had gone on to make a claim.
