Ferrari Enzo successor to make 920 hp

Fri, 17 Feb 2012

About a decade and a half after Porsche eschewed its lightness-and-small-displacement strategy and built a five-liter sports racer to take down Ferrari at Le Mans, a different sort of war kicked off between the two marques: a battle for supremacy in the super-supercar market. In 1984, Ferrari built a radically modified twin-turbo 308 GTB with an eye toward Group B road-racing rules. Geely's new Shanghai design studio at the center of four-studio operation

Thu, 27 Mar 2014

Geely Group's new central Shanghai Design Center is the global hub of its four-studio design operations. The facility on Guozhan Road, Pudong New District was formerly the site of the Central American Union Pavilion during the 2010 Shanghai EXPO and was chosen for its potential for growth despite its downtown location. The 3,800 square meter studio will be home to around 110 staff – both local and international – over the coming months, as part of the company's ongoing recruitment drive as it strives to be seen as one of the leading Chinese players.

Spyker warns that Saab's future is 'uncertain' without fresh funds

Fri, 01 Apr 2011

Spyker Cars NV, the Dutch parent of Saab, said the Swedish automaker's financial situation is worsening and warned that Saab's future is at risk without additional financing. In its annual report released today, Spyker said the company's "continuity" could become uncertain unless it secures extra funds to finance ongoing operations and the execution of its business plan. Earlier this week, Saab was forced to shut down production for short intervals after key suppliers halted parts deliveries for non-payment.
