Thousands of pounds of steel ride on these bearings in all weather conditions. Even a small amount of dirt or corrosion will result in these rather small bearings heating up, and the results can be disastrous. Your old wheel bearings will fail when you are at highway speeds, usually ruining the axle at the same time. At this price, why take a chance Finally, your bearings are packaged in a protective hang-up pouch for the garage wall or leave in the handy storage container.

Has the McLaren P1 lapped the Nurburgring in a record 6 minutes 47 seconds?

    Tue, 22 Oct 2013

Has the McLaren P1 lapped the Nurburgring in a record 6 minutes 47 seconds? We knew McLaren were back at the Nurburgring with the P1 in an attempt to make good on Ron Dennis’s promise that the P1 would lap the ‘Ring in under 7 minutes. It appears McLaren has already tried to set a sub-7 minute time with the P1 but could only manage 7:04s so, with the firts P1s now in customer hands – and full performance specs revealed – the final piece of the jigsaw (apart form a Top Gear lap record) is to set a great time at the Nurburgring.

Saab enters Court Protection – just as we predicted

    Wed, 07 Sep 2011

Victor Muller takes Saab in to Court Protection Two weeks ago we reported that Saab were about to seek court protection from its creditors in a bid to buy time until investment from China arrives. And that’s exactly what’s happening. Saab are waiting for investment funding from China – via Pang Da and Youngman – totalling €245 million which should put Saab back on a solvent footing – at least for a while – and allow the beleaguered Swedish car maker to resume production and push on with future plans.

    New Lotus Elite: Top-Down +video

    Wed, 13 Oct 2010

New Lotus Elite (2014) Top Down I think we’ve just about got over the surprise of a New Lotus Elite dropping from a clear blue sky in the week before the Paris Motor Show. What we still haven’t completely got our heads around is the plethora of models subsequently revealed at the show itself. Yes, we were expecting the new Lotus Esprit – even if we reckoned we might have got that wrong after the New Elite showed up – but we hadn’t reckoned on the new Elan, the new Eterne and the new Elise as well (never mind a City Car concept).
