This new generation moon style tank will be available in spun/primered black and grey for rat rods and polished and powdercoated for the higher end street rods. We can sully these tanks with flip top fuel inlets to the two and three spoke spinner caps. Our own airbrush artist will put your artwork durectly on the tank. You send us what you want and will give quote your tank.Average artwork charge is between 80.00 and 120.00.The artwork has a clear coat applied over it. These tanks are also available with moon eyes tank straps or richies vintage style cast straps. The tank shown for this aution includes the candy powdercoated tank. your choice two or three spoke vented gas cap. Two billet trick straps either black finish or chrome finish.We can also custom build these any way you want them. Peter Stevens and Julian Thomson lead a discussion on the past, present and future of car design
Fri, 24 May 2013As part of its sponsorship of London's Clerkenwell Design Week, Jaguar and the Royal College of Art brought together three generations of the design school to discuss the past, present and possible future of car design. Held in a suitably grimy warehouse in east London – with the sculpture by RCA students Ewan Gallimore and Claire Mille's we showed you earlier this week sat outside – Professor Dale Harrow, dean of the School of Design and head of its Vehicle Design program introduced Professor Peter Stevens, Julian Thomson, Jaguar's advanced design director and Alexandra Palmowski project designer advanced colour and material at Jaguar took the audience through their careers. Charismatic as ever, Peter Stevens kicked off proceedings that moved chronologically through the decades by explaining how he first became interested in "the art if car design, allied to the science of how they work" through his artistic parents and uncle – journalist and motoring adventurer – Denis Jenkinson during the 1950s and 60s.

But it seems not. We already know that the T8 hybrid powertrain for the new XC90 will deliver 394bhp, but now Volvo has revealed a Drive-E concept engine that delivers an even more impressive 444bhp without the aid of electric motors and batteries.
