Tue, 30 Dec 2008Don’t think for a minute that we’re going to lose the supercar stunts we know and love, and see them replaced by the charms of a Kia Cee’d economy run, but Top Gear, in common with the rest of the Beeb, is having its budget cut – apparently. Andy Wilman, who is the brains behind TG (and its producer) together with Jeremy Clarkson, has been bemoaning the budget cuts planned for the show on the TG website. The update includes exterior styling enhancements, interior fine-tuning, dynamic developments and a range of new engines. From the front, there is a new headlamp and bumper design, changes to the kidney grilles and enhancement of the power dome on the hood to give the car a more powerful face.

Prices start at £72,266 for the Panamera S (which gets the 4.8 V8), £77,269 for the Panamera 4S (which also gets the V8 but with 4WD) and £95,298 for the range-topping Panamera Turbo. Still to come, although not until next year, is the Diesel, and the year after the Hybrid.
