Chrysler sounds rally cry with Super Bowl ad: Video
Mon, 06 Feb 2012Chrysler was a holdout last week. While every other automaker was rolling out its Super Bowl ads days before the big game, Chrysler waited until Sunday's halftime. The ad featured actor Clint Eastwood in a spot appropriately titled "Halftime." Amid gritty images of Detroit, Eastwood talked about America's can-do spirit and the ability to rally back from adversity--just as Detroit has.
BID TO SLOW TRAFFIC ON M3 STRETCH
Fri, 14 Feb 2014FIRST it was a stretch of the M1 and now the same speed reduction plan has been announced for a stretch of the M3 motorway in Surrey and Hampshire. The Highways Agency (HA) has proposed that a three-mile section of the M3 between junction 3 at Lightwater in Surrey and junction 4 near Farnborough in Hampshire be subject to a 60mph restriction. This section is part of a 13.4-mile stretch that is being upgraded in a £174 million scheme, with the 60mph proposal, to operate between 7am and 7pm daily so air quality levels can be met.
Vauxhall Cascada: Official
Wed, 17 Oct 2012The new 2013 Vauxhall Cascada – a full size convertible and the modern version of the Astra Twin Top – has been revealed. For some reason best known to Vauxhall, they chose not to debut the Cascada at the Paris Motor Show – perhaps to give the new Adam its moment in the sun – but now we get Vauxhall’s latest model in its revised line-up. The Cascada is a proper full size, four seat convertible – it’s only a couple of inches shorter than a Mercedes E Class Cabriolet – and has its underpinnings based on elements from both the Insignia and Astra and comes with a folding fabric roof instead of the tin-top folding roof in the Twin Top which can be raised and lowered in 17 seconds at speeds of up to 30mph.
