The R designation means that they offer a very high coefficient of friction. They are also referred to 'sintered metal' type pads because of the high metallic makeup of the materials used. Most modern sport, racing, and high-end utility vehicles come standard with a sintered metal type pad. Why use the R pads the standard organic or Kevlar impregnated pads ? -They will last longer. -They will work better in Wet, Muddy, or Sandy conditions -Under normal use will run cooler and cause less rotor discoloration and warping. -More precise and accurate feel and control. -Less effort on the lever/pedal - lets you use a light touch to get results.

Fri, 25 Feb 2011Vauxhall has put away the hologram projector and sent us proper photos of the Zafira Tourer concept, prior to its debut at the 2011 Geneva motor show Vauxhall has sought to create a comfortable, relaxing lounge ambience with the interior of the new Zafira, shown here in concept car form. Vauxhall's trademark Flex7 seating now allows the middle row of seats to fold flat into the floor. The Zafira Tourer also boasts a 'lounge seat' middle row. Similar to the Vauxhall Meriva and other MPVs on the market, this allows the centre chair to drop down, liberating extra space for two middle-row passengers. The interior is richly trimmed in caramel-coloured leather, with contrasting dark brown trim on the doors, and deep-pile carpets. This is not your usual toddler-resistant troop-carrier fare.
New car sales up for 28th consecutive month
Fri, 04 Jul 2014THE STEADY ADVANCE of new car sales shows no sign of slowing down. There were 228,291 new registrations in June, a 6.2% rise on the total for June 2013, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. Last month was the 28th consecutive month of growth and means that sales for the year so far have reached more than 1.28 million - a 10.6% rise on the first six months of last year.
2012 Honda CR-V, 2013 Acura ILX recalled for door-latch fix
Thu, 19 Jul 2012Honda is recalling about 166,000 copies of the 2012 Honda CR-V SUV and 6,200 copies of the 2013 Acura ILX sedan to fix a door latch. Honda says the release cable can come off the front door latch. If this happens, the door may not properly close or can open without warning, even when locked.
