The 911 wasn't just owned by McQueen; it also featured prominently at the beginning of the film Le Mans as the lead character, played by McQueen, drives through France reflecting on the realities of racing. Shelby has been hospitalized after catching the flu, which turned into a case of pneumonia. Shelby, 89, has received heart and kidney transplants over the course of his life and dealt with a number of health issues.
