This is the new Transgo Separator plate for the 1996-2006, 4L60E transmission, Transgo part # 46-PLT-96. The orginal plates will wear at the check ball locations. This wear can lead to transmisssion failure, or poor shifting of the transmission. This is an upgraded after market replacement part, make of high quality plated metal.
