DETAILS THIS INPUT SHAFT IS THE "300mm" TYPE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SMOOTH PILOT ON THE CONVERTER END. IT IS TO BE USED WITH THE "300mm" STYLE TORQUE CONVERTER. THIS PART HAS 15 RELUCTOR TEETH MACHINED AS PART OF THE SHAFT FOR TRANSMISSIONS THAT REQUIRE THE USE OF AN ISS. THIS FITS THE LATER MODEL UNITS THAT USE AN INTERNAL INPUT SPEED SENSOR THAT FITS THROUGH THE STATOR AND READS FROM THE RELUCTOR TEETH ON THE SHAFT. MACHINED FROM 300M STEEL THEN HARDENED.  THE TCC CHECK BALL & CAPSULE AT THE END OF THE SHAFT IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS PART.

Royal College of Art's Class of 2013 launches real-time projects blog

The Royal College of Art's Vehicle Design Class of 2013 has launched a new blog that will allow the public to follow their projects and studio work from ideas to exhibition for the first time in the course's 40-year history. The blog, which is updated daily, allows people to follow the process of the 18 MA students' final projects and college work in real-time and give them a ‘behind the scenes' look at their progress. RCA student Ewan Gallimore, speaking on behalf of the class, tells Car Design News, "So much of the work and process is unseen and by regularly updating this blog we give the chance for people to follow and interact with the run up to our show.

2012 Lada Granta could see Lada back in the UK Lada reveals their new car – the Lada Granta, based on the Kalina hatchback – which could see Lada return to the UK. For those old enough to remember, Lada was once renowned as the maker of skips on wheels, in such illustrious company as Skoda, Yugo and Moskvitch. Yugo has bitten the dust, as has Moskvich, and Skoda has re-invented itself under VW as a credible player.
