Design students from twenty-six schools around the world have been invited to design a World Car that visually identifies its cultural origins and, at the same time, has appeal, and can be sold throughout the world, in at least five countries on three continents. The vehicle should be easily recognized as coming from a particular culture.

One of the odder things about living in "the future" is that things develop so gradually, hardly any of the really amazing things we're exposed to every day seem amazing or futuristic. If the iPhone had just appeared from nowhere in 2007, there would have been riots, demonstrations and legislation. Mercedes A25 AMG will look very like Concept A - but with 5 doors The Mercedes A25 AMG with four wheel drive, 335bhp and a twin-clutch ‘box is confirmed for launch in 2013. We’ve talked about a hot version of the new Mercedes A Class almost since Mercedes debuted the Concept A on which the new A Class is based. Back then we speculated – thanks to input from Top Gear – that the AMG version of the new A Class would get 4WD and 350bhp from a turbo 4-pot.
