Longer slip yokes help compensate for extreme travel rear suspension set-ups or drive shaft lengths slightly shorter than needed. Yoke is grooved for external u-joint cap retaining clips. Works with 1310 series U-joints. This front driveshaft slip yoke measures 6-3/4" from the centerline of the u-joint to the front edge. Length of machined part of yoke is 4-3/4". Contest: Mazda Design Challenge
Wed, 17 Oct 2007The 'Mazda Design Challenge', launched September 27 exclusively through the social networking website Facebook, is enlisting help from Facebook users in the United States to compete to design a future Mazda 3. The winner of the contest will work with Franz von Holzhausen, director of Mazda Design in North America, and his team, to bring the concept to life, live on stage at the 2007 Los Angeles International Auto Show in November. Contestants submitted a 150-word description of their vision of the 2018 Mazda 3 including an optional sketch.
Opel and Auto Design and Styling magazine launch new sketch contest
Wed, 08 May 2013Opel and Auto Design and Styling magazine have joined forces to launch the ‘Adam Seeks Eve' sketch competition. The competition, which is open to amateur and professional designers of all ages, asks participants to "sketch the ideal car partner for the Opel Adam." Designs can be a personalized Adam, a model inspired by it, or its next iteration. The winner will be awarded a free ticket to the AutoDesign Prague Automotive Design Conference and the AutoDesign Prague Workshop as well as being lent an Adam for a week.
Ohio driver survives high-speed crash
Thu, 26 Aug 2010WITH VIDEO -- A 19-year-old Ohio man is hospitalized in serious condition, three days after his car went airborne in the median of Interstate 675 near Dayton and crashed into the concrete center support of a bridge. The crash demolished the car, a Pontiac Firebird. The driver, Brennan Eden, was thrown from the car during the crash.
