Smoking in cars to be banned
Tue, 11 Feb 2014MPs in the House of Commons have voted in favour of amendment to the Children and Families Bill, thereby recommending a ban on smoking in cars when there are children present in England. The vote does not force the government to bring such a change into law, but has passed with a substantial majority and the recommendation is seen to have substantial public support. Fri, 15 Nov 2013The Mercedes SLS AMG GT Final Edition (pictured) signals the end of the SLS It’s more than four years since the Mercedes SLS Gullwing was revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show as the Mercedes replacement for the Mercedes McLaren SLR. And now the SLS is almost at the end of its shelf life. That means the opportunity for a run-out model to cap the SLS range, so Mercedes is launching the Mercedes SLS AMG GT Final Edition – a limited run of 350 cars as a Gullwing or Roadster – which will debut at both the Los Angeles and Tokyo Motor Shows next month.

Thu, 20 Oct 2011In contrast to the Rennsport Reunion's raucous goings on at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the Race Car Classic at the Quail Lodge took a more serene approach in presenting the first few decades of Porsche racing. It was almost too serene, as the field of roughly 200 cars draped in loose silk car covers that greeted the crowd gave the impression of burying Porsches, not praising them. But things perked up with a group unveiling that revealed an outstanding collection of rare and unique racers, including many from the Porsche Museum and the Collier collection.
