Parts #19244450

The 350/290 HP Deluxe combines Chevrolet Performance's most popular crate engine with an aluminum intake manifold* and chrome dress-up kit to create one of the most stylish and value-driven engines on the market. The chrome dress-up parts include the valve covers (with push-in breathers and "T-bar"-style hold-downs), timing cover, and air cleaner.

Like all of our crate engines, the 350/290 HP Deluxe starts with a brand-new block. And it's a strong one, with four-bolt mains. It also includes a smooth hydraulic camshaft and durable aluminum pistons that deliver an 8.0:1 compression ratio. It's a powerful, durable engine that makes a great alternative to rebuilding with your old two-bolt block.

Chevrolet Performance has all the parts you need to get your 350/290 HP engine running, too, from the starter and distributor to the plug wires and more. If you want even more power, our high-performance cylinder heads will take this stout Small-Block to the next level.

*Chevrolet Performance recommends the Holley 670-cfm carburetor (P/N 19170092) for use with the 350/290 HP Deluxe.

New Range Rover (2013) wins Top Gear Luxury Car of the Year

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

The 2013 Range Rover – Land Rover’s new Flagship SUV – has won its first major award as Top Gear Luxury car of the year. Interestingly, it seems Land Rover are as sceptical as we were about the proclamation by the Sunday Times in October that the 2013 Range Rover was their luxury SUV of the year, despite never even driving it. Not that anyone is doubting the new Range Rover’s right to such a gong, just that it seemed odd to award it to a car that was still too new to judge.

CAFE standard set at 54.5 mpg by 2025

Wed, 29 Aug 2012

The final version of the new corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) standard was released today and, as expected, automakers will need to attain a fleet average of 54.5 mpg by 2025. The rules include electric and hybrid vehicles and—as of today—natural gas vehicles. The Environmental Protection Agency and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration proposed the rules in November, after reaching an agreement with automakers last July.

Relaxed Elegance: Dana Point Concours d'Elegance is pure fun

Mon, 27 Jun 2011

Twenty-nine years ago, the event was called the Newport Beach Concours d'Elegance, and that title was on the tickets until 2010, when it was changed to the Dana Point Concours d'Elegance. That's fitting, as it's been held at the upscale St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in tony Dana Point, Calif., for four years.
