Nissan IDx concepts bring back budget racers

Nissan channeled its inner Datsun for the Detroit auto show on Monday. The Japanese brand showed off its IDx Freeflow and IDx Nismo concepts, which we first saw in Tokyo. The brand cited the new ways people buy and customize cars as the reason for the classic yet eye-catching style.

Japanese Grand Prix 2011 The reality of the 2011 Japanese Grand Prix is not about who wins the race, but whether Sebastian Vettel can grab the single point needed to clinch the 2011 F1 Drivers title. And from the start he looked like he’d taken a leaf of the Schumacher/Senna book on how to finish off an opponent as he forced Jenson Button off on to the grass as the Brit came powering up his inside from the start. The normally unflappable Button was straight on the pit radio demanding the stewards act, but it’s rare for the stewards to dish out penalties for a scrap in the mêlée of the start, and so it was in this case.

Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel has taken pole position in tomorrow’s Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, ahead of team mate Mark Webber. It looks like Red Bull have found form again ahead of tomorrow’s Japanese Grand Prix, with Sebastian Vettel taking pole position and Mark Webber in second place. Behind the Red Bulls is Jenson Button in the McLaren, although he’ll actually start five places back after a penalty for changing a gearbox after Singapore – probably wise after Hamilton retired in Singapore after his gearbox gave up the ghost.
