UP FOR AUCTION:

ONE ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1970's GOODYEAR PATCH MADE IN THE USA NEW OLD STOCK.
NOT MADE IN CHINA OR THAILAND.
You can tell this because the flying shoe has the white stitching sewn onto the shoe.
Unlike the poor Chinese or Thai copies where the shoe is misshaped and there is NOT a second colour of stitching.
THE RACE JACKETS ARE FOR REFERENCE ONLY AND NOT PART OF THE AUCTION,
BUT ARE JUST TO SHOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE WITH A PATCH!!

This is great for the front of you race or rally jacket, work coveralls or vintage inspired or styled race suit.

It is in NEW OLD STOCK but not in any original packaging.
This comes from the late 1970's and 1980's.
It has the "GOODYEAR" logo in Blue lettering on a White background and is 6 1/4" x  1 1/2" or 160mm x 42mm in size.
It also has the iron on glue on the back of the patch, so you don't have to bother your mother to sew it on your race suit or overalls.
BUT REMEMBER IF YOU HAVE A VINTAGE NYLON JACKET YOU CAN'T IRON IT ONTO IT.
In that case you will have to learn to sew to get your Mama to help you.

THIS IS A GREAT PERIOD ITEM FOR YOUR RACE SUIT for the GOODWOOD REVIVAL in the UK or the MONTEREY HISTORIC RACES in California.
It would also look the part on your Vintage Mechanics work Coveralls or Boiler suit for such an event.
.
This would be A MUST HAVE for RACE and RALLY fans,
and one of those nice little details that would be great in your collection or a vintage style garage.

IT WEIGHS 5 GRAMS BY ITSELF!!

Design Review: Bertone Birusa concept

Tue, 04 Mar 2003

The new Birusa concept unveiled today shows Bertone returning to what they do best - a flamboyant showcar giving us a vision of how the high performance GT car (front engine, rear drive, two seats) could evolve stylistically in the near future. Based on a BMW Z8 aluminium chassis lengthened by 300mm, it's a refreshing piece of exuberance by the Italian company and a celebration of what they achieved in the 1960s and 70s. The wedge-shaped profile is characterised by a classic Bertone device - a dihedral-shaped side window with an undercut lower glass section, as featured on showcars such as the Boomerang and Carrabo.

Cop saves life of choking driver

Thu, 14 Aug 2014

A US POLICE officer saved a motorist in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who was choking after stopping her for driving through a red light. Officer Jason Gates realised the woman could not breathe when he approached her vehicle, so he hit her on the back to try to clear her airway. When that did not work, he performed the Heimlich manoeuvre which dislodged a piece of sausage and bread from her throat.
