Wet n' Wild Woodward

Sat, 21 Aug 2010

Rain-soaked Woodward Avenue welcomed thousands of cruisers and car enthusiasts for the 16th annual Dream Cruise on a wet Saturday just north of Detroit. Though the weather didn't cooperate for much of the day with rain ranging from a mist to steady showers, it failed to dampen the spirits of car fans for all over. As usual, Mustangs, Corvettes and Challengers took center stage on the iconic strip, which plays host to the yearly summer celebration of chrome and fins.

Audi TT speedster 'will be built'

Tue, 20 May 2008

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 20 May 2008 12:15 Audi will build a limited production run of the TT speedster we scooped last week, CAR Online can reveal. Although spokesmen in Europe have denied any production plans for the unusual open-top TT we spied on test in southern Germany, Audi's marketing director for the Middle East, Bernd Rosenbichler, told us they were planning a small production run for enthusiasts in hotter climes.'We have been asked [by Audi AG] if we could imagine bringing this car here,' he told CAR.

Alfa Romeo 4C finally on sale in 2013?

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

It seems the Alfa Romeo 4C may finally arrive in production guise at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and on sale soon after. First seen at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011 – when we expected it to go on sale in 2012 – the 4C has been rolled out by Alfa Romeo a few times since – even complete with ‘teasers’ when all that had changed was the colour – to keep up interest in a car that holds much promise but didn’t seem to be heading anywhere. But now, according to Autocar, Alfa Romeo has confirmed that a production version of the Alfa 4C will arrive at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show before going on sale – at least in Europe – later in the year.
