GPR Dirt V4 This design is the evolution of the GPRV3 without the remote adjustment and hoses. Racers wanted that slim under-bar mount, but did not need to have the remote adjustment, or hoses. GPR moved the adjustment dial to the left side of the damper and created a dial that was easy to use but as small as possible. The 'Dirt V4' is the result. All machined from billet stock, anodized and laser engraved. An instant hit with the pro off-road racers. Smaller, lighter, faster. This design has caught the attention of Motocross / Supercross and Supermoto teams for its ability to be mounted below the bars and make virtually no change to the riders position. Easy to adjust but also tucked out of the way. Offering an under-bar mount systems by our competitors "standard" steering damper has the problem of raising your bar height as much as 2+ inches. This dirtbike steering damper is made for mounting under the bars. This was achieved by keeping the damper as slim as possible and the creation of a "hollow" vane. The hollow vane allows for the damper to be mounted almost flush to the top clamp. You'll find this design on the Motocross / Supercross team of Star Yamaha, Broc Tickle, Factory Kawasakis Off-Road team, Destry Abbott, Ricky Dietrich, The Yamaha's of Russ Pearson. Fri, 14 May 2010The Range Rover Sport based Land Rover Range_e Pragmatically, Land Rover are working hard to change the world’s perception of its products by shouting as loudly as they can about the ‘Green’ credentials they have, from off-setting carbon emissions to 45k miles on every car they sell to adding stop-start to the Freelander 2. But long-term Land Rover are looking to introduce new, lightweight cars in 2012/2013 with the same aluminium underpinnings as Jaguar, and introducing some hybrid technology on the way. With that in mind they’ve put together a Range Rover Sport based Range_e to trial the tech ahead of its use in the next generation of Land Rover’s cars and are planning on running five cars as test-beds this year.
Honda confirms 'mobile desk chair'
Thu, 14 Nov 2013HONDA has announced details for a new version of its existing Uni-Cub ‘personal mobility solution’ – essentially a powered office chair. The Uni-Cub β is a development of the initial concept that appeared in 2012 as a bizarre solution to mobility around typical office-based work environments, although it would seem that no one at Honda had considered that humans have legs for that. It uses an omni-directional driving wheel system derived from Honda’s research into humanoid robots like the well-known ASIMO, allowing it to move in any direction according to the weight shifts of its user.

It’s a smarter adaptation of the existing Outlander plug-in hybrid road car. Mitsubishi describes it thus: ‘The Outlander PHEV Concept-S is a concept model MMC proposes as a special package of the Outlander PHEV production model that has a refined interior and exterior design that magnifies the Outlander PHEV’s unique driving experience.’ Not a huge amount to go on then.
