Thu, 23 Feb 2012The 1929 Bentley 4 1/2 Litre Supercharged at Bonhams 2012 Goodwood sale Bonhams are offering a 1929 Bentley 4 1/2 Litre Supercharged Racing Single-Seater at their Goodwood auction in June. The 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed is only four months away, and one of the highlights will be the Bonhams sale of the car collection of famed watch maker George Daniels, which includes a 1929 Bentley 4 1/2 Litre Supercharged Racing Single-Seater once owned by Tim Birkin in which he set the Brooklands Outer Circuit Lap Record in 1932 at 137mph. Tim Birkin was one of the fabled ‘Bentley Boys’ and George Daniels one of the most famous horologists in the world, and the sale of this Bentley 4 1/2 Litre ‘Blower’ is bound to attract a lot of attention and interest, with every expectation it could raise as much as £4 million.

Tue, 01 Sep 2009A leaked picture of the new Hyundai i40 / Sonata Hyundai has released sketches of the i40 as a tease ahead of the launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show this month, but unfortunately for them we’ve received the picture you see at the top – and those in the photo gallery at the bottom – that show the real deal. Which sort of takes the edge off the ‘Stylised’ sketches Hyundai has released. Holden will sell cars in Australia beyond 2017
Mon, 23 Dec 2013When we heard about Holden's plans to shutter its Australian plants after 2017, we didn't know quite what to think. The General Motors subsidiary was cagey when it came to details, claiming that the brand would remain a presence in Australia -- even maintaining its design office there. Oddly, we couldn't get anyone to say, in black-and-white terms, what vehicles would be sold there under the Holden name after its plants close.
