Daimler and Renault-Nissan unveiled the details of an international alliance on Wednesday in a landmark collaboration designed to fortify the three historic automakers by sharing technology and reducing costs around the world. AutoWeek first broke news of the deal last week. Renault-Nissan and Daimler will work together on several specific projects, including small cars, engines and commercial vehicles.

GM to invest $2 billion in 17 plants

"We are doing this because we are confident about demand for our vehicles and the economy," GM CEO Dan Akerson said in a statement. Land Rover has introduced a new entry-level Range Rover Evoque for the US with fewer toys and a lower price tag. It’s quite hard to believe that the USA has taken to the Range Rover Evoque considering their love for full size SUVs and their general feeling of unease about the reliability of Land Rover’s products. But take to the Evoque they have, although perhaps not quite in the numbers Land Rover would like.
