Video: Lexus' Calty design team on their LF-LC concept

Lexus has released an official video of its Lexus LF-LC concept, winner of the ‘Best Concept Car' at the 2012 EyesOn Design Awards. The video features comments from the design team at the company's Calty studio in Newport Beach, California, including Project Chief Designer William Chergosky, Senior Creative Designers Edward Lee and Ben Chang, Studio Manager Ian Cartabiano as well as President Kevin Hunter. The LF-LC hybrid sports coupe is the result of a brief to the Calty team to design a future hybrid sports coupe concept.

Infiniti has unveiled its first IPL (or Infiniti Performance Line) package, a sports-focussed trim upgrade for the G37 Coupe. Think of the IPL pack as the equivalent of BMW’s M Sport or Audi’s S-line kits, and if it proves popular, there’ll be more kits (and even bespoke cars) to come. Cosworth promise power upgrades for the FA 20 engine Ever since the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ arrived as ‘affordable’ sports cars with a focus on the dynamics rather than outright power, there’s been endless claims and rumours that more power is on the way. As far back as 2011, Subaru in the US confirmed that a turbo version of the BRZ’s 2.0 litre FA20 Boxer engine was under development although, to be fair, they didn’t say it was actually heading for the BRZ. And just last year, Subaru teased what we thought could be a more powerful BRZ STI, but that turned out to be a BRZ tS with go faster bits but no more actual power.
