A Jaguar-based Chery for China on the way Reports from China say that Jaguar is to develop a new luxury sub-brand with putative Chinese partners Chery Automobile to get NDRC approval for a Joint Venture. Hennessey Performance is introducing a convertible version of its limited-edition 2011 HPE700 Camaro. The tuning company will produce just 24 copies of the 2011 HPE700 Camaro, but it hasn't revealed how many will be hardtops or convertibles. “We have already sold several of our 2011 HPE700s in hardtop form, increasing the potential for the convertible LS9 Camaro to become an even rarer option than before,” said John Hennessey, president of Hennessey Performance.

That's because Cadillac, Infiniti, Lexus, Lotus and possibly a few others are set to reveal new production and concept cars at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance later this week. Lexus is set to unveil its production GS350 (previewed by the Lf-Gh concept in New York earlier this year), the fourth generation of its luxury sports sedan, on August 18, while Cadillac's 2013 ATS will also be revealed.
