This is our basic differential cover, we see it as the only one worth making. The Dana 44 axles are found stock on an endless variety of trucks from International Scouts (front & rear), Chevy, Ford, & Dodge trucks usually in the front, Wagoneers (Waggy's), Rubicons, Cherokees, & about a hunderd others. The D44's end up in every kind of rig made from Samurai's to Land Cruisers to Jeeps and even Full Sized trucks & Light Weight Buggy's. The Differential cover is a 1 piece Plate steel cap 3/8" (.375") bent 8 ways then welded to a 3/8" ring!. The fill plug is a generous 1" ID for easy fill and oil level check. The D44 is our second best selling cover. After welding the mounting surface is machined absolutely flat for a perfect fit! And they will fit the new Rubicon D44's. Fri, 03 Apr 2009The Mitsubishi Outlander GT will show at the New York Motor Show [ad#ad-1] The picture above is the Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept (which is not a Photoshop mis-hap – just another version of a car maker’s ‘tease’ image, this time blurred). This is Mitsubishi’s efforts to make the Outlander more appealing, and from what we can see it’s taken a design cue from the Lamborghini Reventon, by putting a ‘Stealth Fighter’ nose on the front. Actually, as a blurred image, the front end does look a little reminiscent of the Lagonda Concept we saw at Geneva last month.
GM expands brake-override safety feature
Mon, 05 Apr 2010General Motors is significantly expanding the use of a brake-override safety feature in its cars through the end of 2012. GM announced on Monday that it will add the software, which it also calls “enhanced smart-pedal technology,” in all of its passenger cars with automatic transmissions and electronic throttle control. The change will reduce power to the engine when both the throttle and brakes are pressed at the same time.

Mon, 14 Apr 2014The Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept (pictured) leaks ahead of its debut The next models in line at Land Rover for a complete makeover are the Freelander and the Discover, both of which are going to be badged Discovery and will be previewed by the Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept at the New York Auto Show in a few days. But we already have the first photo of the new Discovery Vision Concept after Jalopnik published it this afternoon. The new Discovery certainly has influences form the new Range Rover, but it also offers more than a passing resemblance to the Ford Explorer – but then the Ford Explorer was plagiarised from Land Rover in the first place, so that’s probably not a real problem.
