Video: Toyota teases Furia concept

Toyota has released a teaser a teaser video to promote its new Furia concept, set to be unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month. From what we can tell, the orange sedan concept features some carbon fiber accents – check out the rear lip spoiler – and there appears to be the standard next-generation lights we see on every concept. The world debut of the Furia Concept will be broadcast live online via Livestream on 14 January.

Map-reading driver gets ban and hefty fine

AN ELDERLY driver has been fined more than £1,000 and banned for a year after he was caught reading a map at the wheel. Peter John Rigby, 73, of Beamsley in Skipton, North Yorkshire, was captured by police cameras flicking through an atlas for at least 10 seconds while driving his Honda Jazz on March 4. The car caught the attention of a camera operator when it began to wander across the white line of the overtaking lane.

RCA students to reinterpret classic cars for Salon Privé

Salon Privé is the rather pretentious-sounding UK concours d'elégance that models itself on the likes of Pebble Beach and Villa d'Este. This year the event has something that really piques our interest – a design contest, judged by some of the world's top designers. Ten Students from the nearby Royal College of Art have been tasked with reinterpreting a previous cars entered into the show for a competition named Concours of the Future.
