Hobie 16 Standing Rigging Wires Good Used Set. Includes: Two Shrouds, Two Bridles, Lower Forestay, Upper Forestay with Turning Block, No broken ends or splits. Please keep in mind that these are used wires that appear to be in Good usable condition but we have no way to load test them. The Hobie Dealer gets about $250 for this set. We have tons and tons of used Beach Cat parts. Everything from hulls to sails and all the little stuff that's hard to find. If you are needing something for you Hobie, Nacra, Prindle or Solcat and don't see it on auction, send me an email and I will be glad to list it for you if we have it. Please remember all our Cat parts are used and expect them to show signs of use. Most could stand to be cleaned or polished. If we see any noticable defects, we make every effort to point them out. The event at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Jan. 12-14 had strong attendance, with thousands of enthusiasts gathering to see 490 motorcycles and a range of bike-related memorabilia cross the auction block.
Michelin Challenge Design announces 2008 jury
Mon, 23 Jul 2007Michelin Challenge Design, known for enticing some of the world's most talented up and coming designers, has convened its 2008 panel of judges. The eight automotive design experts met July 16-17, 2007, at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, to select the vehicle designs and concepts for special exhibition at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next January. This year marks the seventh year for the international competition with a record 272 individual designers, teams, studios, and companies from over 50 countries submitting full-size vehicles, scale models and computer-generated renderings in support of the central theme, 'Safer.
Gesture-controlled Audi wins VDA Design Award
Wed, 25 Sep 2013The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has announced the winner of its 2013 Design Awards, which asked students from across the world to submit their final graduating projects completed between October 2011 and July 2013. Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.
