This week I offer my "Ready to Run" custom Universal 2x2 Induction System, perfect for ANY stock-to-mild small block V8 engine currently running a 4 bbl. You really can't call your ride a "Hot Rod" with only one carburetor, can you??

The foundation of this unit is a minty Vintage Speed 2x2 cast aluminum adapter. The atomizers are a pair of perfectly matched Henry's own Holley 94 carburetors ( with no hint of "Ford" for you Chevy guys ). These carbs have been extensively reworked top to bottom, inside and out using the best parts and build experience available. Unlike some pretty painted carburetors you see elsewhere, this duet sport an easy-to-care-for old-timey polished finish that won't flake or peel at the first sniff of gasoline. The front carb has the "proper" distrbutor vacuum port on the base. The linkage is a custom built direct 2x2, as it should be. Cast aluminum MAUND stacks and wire mesh strainers keep the junk out & 5/16" loopy hard lines, filter and gauge gets the juice where its required in style. Shiney looks WAY nicer in person, too.

I run this exact setup on my own mild-built 327.

You can buy rebuilt carbs from a few different vendors, but no one can match my fit, finish or performance. I've been building multi-carb systems for well over a dozen years and my feedback says I don't sell crap. You won't be disappointed either. Shipping to most points in North America is $40.00 mainly for weight, but I'll refund any actual excess shipping charges of $5.00 or more. Good luck, eh!

Nissan LEAF hits 3000 sales in the UK

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Nissan LEAF hits 3000 sales in the UK What can probably be considered the first properly convincing electric car – the Nissan LEAF – has clocked up 3,000 sales in the UK since it was launched in 2011. In terms of overall car sale in those two years it’s an insignificant fraction, but in terms of making the electric car a viable form of transport it’s a big milestone. The second generation LEAF – launched earlier in 2013 – moved Nissan’s EV game on a bit with a raft of improvements, and has sold 1300 in the UK in just the last six months,.

The case of the disappearing Lambos

Thu, 15 Jan 2009

Now this should have rung an alarm bell or two at the time, but it seems it didn’t. Back in November the world’s largest Lamborghini dealership – Lamborghini Orange County – turned up its toes and closed the doors, apparently a victim of the downturn in car sales. Not the oddest story in these times admittedly, but a bit odd when you consider that Lamborghini OC was reckoned to be responsible for 10% of Lamborghini’s sales worldwide, shifting around 240 cars a year.

Ford moves upmarket with new Mustang, Edge and Vignale sub-brands

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Ford Britain's biggest carmaker is fighting back against increased competition from budget brands from below and executive makes from above with an aggressive expansion, which will see it launch three new models by the end of 2015. Ford is about to introduce models popular in the US over here to stretch its product line-up above the £30,000 threshold. At last week's Geneva Motor Show, the company showed the new Mustang sports car as well as the new Edge crossover (above).
