FREE EDUCATION about unscrupulous selling tactics by carb sellers 

Beware of those on ebay selling these carbs stating they are NEW at rediculously low prices They are nothing more than rebuilt . Why do you think they "test run" it before they send it out? Because it already has mounting marks on the baseplate  from the previous owner. Another sale pitch is the carb is off of a display motor. Just how many display motors does 1 guy have that he is selling carbs daily off of them.  They are just cores that are sandblasted or glassbeaded. Take a good look at them. Just get what you are paying for.  

A word about dyno tuning claims........Don't be fooled. There are sellers claiming they will dyno tune your carb on their "motor" and even have picture of themselves standing in front of a motor in a dyno shop. It's not YOUR motor. Any tuning done on any motor other that yours means absolutely NOTHING at all. Unless the motor has your camshaft profile, compression and head design , manifold and exhaust. It is all just propaganda. Think about it just for a minute....A 289 Ford motor and a 350 Chevy motor both have different compression ratios different camshaft profiles and use different size intake and exhaust valves in the cylinder head. How can anyone tune carburetors for all these different specs and variety of engines on one motor. People have been duped by this sales pitch for too long.
