There were 154,562 new cars registered last month – a 7.6% rise over January 2013, continuing the run of buyer confidence that saw overall sales reach a six-year high last year. Earlier this week we wrote about Jeep's new Cherokee ad that ran during Saturday Night Live and starred
cast members from Saturday Night Live. Jeep called it a “cast commercial” and apparently it had some precedent. We did a little digging and found this 5-minute spot on the new Chevy's for 1965 featuring the stars of “Bonanza,” “Bewitched” and “Man from Uncle.”

Shoehorning a twin-turbo V6 from a Nissan GT-R into the little Juke crossover--that's the type of craziness we've come to expect to show up at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas. But Nissan's not waiting for SEMA. Its European tech center has performed the powertrain transplant, with the help of race team Ray Mallock Ltd., to create the Juke-R.
