And here it is. The Alpina B4 Biturbo is based on the latest 4-Series and gets the N55 BMW straight six from the 435i but tweaked and fettled by Alpina to deliver 404bhp and 442lb/ft of torque.

The F-Type offers little in the way of surprise to anyone who saw last year’s C-X16 concept, or indeed a current XK for that matter. It’s a more compact sports car than the XK, aimed squarely at the BMW Z4, Porsche Boxster and Mercedes SLK.

Fri, 25 Mar 20112012 BMW 3-Series GT caught being transported I can’t say we’ve really laid awake at night thinking about it, but the reveal of the BMW 3 Series GT must be getting close. As, for that matter, must the whole new 2012 BMW 3-Series. We first reported that BMW were making a 3-Series GT back in 2009, but we did know they wouldn’t be building one on the current platform, waiting instead for when the new 3-Series due to put in an appearance, probably at Frankfurt in the Autumn (if not before).
