Extra funding came in thanks to the involvement of Investindustrial’s new stake in Aston Martin, and a deal has been done with Mercedes AMG to supply new V8 engines and electronic architecture. Not only that, but Aston Martin are developing a new platform for their future range of cars, with the biggest investment in Aston Martin’s history.

You can tell a lot about a person from the car they drive. It can also be argued that you can tell a lot of about a car from who drives it, especially when that person is a respected designer, in this case the head of Design Bugatti Achim Anscheidt. In one of Drive's latest episodes features Anscheidt and his Porsche ‘Private Project' 911 around the streets of Berlin, discussing his take on minimalism in design and construction and how he feels about personal design projects.

The Interior of the new Ferrari 458 Italia But yesterday afternoon, shortly after we posted the news of the Ferrari 458 Italia – which originally had just four exterior pictures – we got sent a video of the interior. To be truthful it is almost certainly a rendering with no real car at all, but it is from Ferrari and is close as we’re going to get to the interior –  or anything that moves – this side of the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. At least the video clip has a sound track, and whether or not it’s a real soundtrack from the track and the car – or something Ferrari has generated on their laptops – we don’t really care.
