Jaguar SUV/Crossover (C-X17) gets another outing with another new paint jobThu, 16 Jan 2014Jaguar SUV/Crossover (C-X17) gets another outing – this time in Italian Racing Red The Jaguar SUV Crossover arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year as a ‘Concept’, although it’s clear Jaguar has plans to make it a production reality. That was given more credence with a new version of the Jaguar SUV arriving at the Dubai Motor Show in November with an all new Liquid Metal paint job (that looked better than the debut car’s Jaguar Racing Blue car) and an outing for the C-X17 at the Guangzhou Motor Show with a gold paint job as Jaguar continued to garner feedback for their SUV/Crossover plans. Now Jaguar has arrived at the Brussels Motor Show with yet another colour take on the C-X17 – this time Italian Racing Red – although, as far as we can tell, there are no other changes to the C-X17 from the original car’s appearance. Better Place Electric Car visitor centre opensTue, 09 Feb 2010Better Place have opened a visitor centre in Israel to demonstrate their battery swap technology for electric cars Last October we wrote about a start-up company in Israel – Better Place – that had a new way forward for electric cars by taking the purchase of battery packs out of the equation, and was developing a system for ‘Battery Swap’ stations where electric car owners could drive in and swap their battery pack for a fully-charged one in a few minutes. That story first brought to our attention our favourite quote of last year – by Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn – who said “A hybrid is like a mermaid: if you want a fish, you get a woman; if you want a woman, you get a fish.” Which probably explained why Nissan – and its partner Renault – got involved with Better Place. Better Place aims to address the main concerns of electric car drivers by making the battery packs in electric cars ‘swappable’. One big cat to another: a reader swaps Puma for XFMon, 07 Jun 2010It was 2007. To be honest, at 24 years old, I wasn't really interested in the Jaguar C-XF concept car when it first appeared. I was still in that early twenties dreamworld where I would be driving the Lexus LF-A when it finally made production. 2040Parts.com © 2012-2024. All Rights Reserved.
