Bentley Continental Supersports – Driven at Goodwood
Wed, 15 Jul 2009Derek Bell took the Bentley Continental Supersports up the Goodwood Hillclimb So this bit of news – and video – is slightly out of sync, but as it features Bentley’s fastest car ever – and Derek Bell driving – so it was hard not to give you the chance to have a look. The Bentley Supersports is what all ‘Eco’ cars should be – madly powerful but with a green badge and it can run on E85 Bio Fuel! The Bentley Supersports manages to churn out 612bhp from its 6.0 litre, twin-turbo W12 engine, delivering the 0-60mph sprint in 3.7 seconds and on to over 200mph.
Ford Focus RS500 (2010) first official pictures
Mon, 29 Mar 2010This is the new Ford Focus RS500, a special limited edition version of the Blue Oval’s mad Focus RS hot hatch with 15% more power. For a start there’s that extra power. Thanks to a larger air-to-air intercooler, a bigger air filter and a wider diameter exhaust downpipe (plus a new ECU to take advantage of the mechanical changes) peak power is up from 301bhp to 345lb ft at 6000rpm, while torque climbs from 325lb ft to 339lb ft. The result is a 5.6sec 0-62mph time (down three-tenths) while the top speed climbs two notches to 165mph.
2014 Hyundai Genesis first glimpse
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Here are the first official shots of the next Hyundai Genesis, a long, cool drink of water that will chart the course for many larger Hyundai sedans to come. “We want more premium luxury,” said Moon Sik Kwon, president of Hyundai R&D. “Genesis will lead the way.” Details are not officially released yet, so, even though we just drove the thing all over Hyundai's Nam Yang proving ground here in Korea and have a definite opinion about it, we can't tell you whether or not it was a well-composed, powerfully quick, huge step up and over the first Genesis sedan.
