THE HT-2 IS A MICROPROCESSOR-BASED HEADSET TESTER
THAT CAN TEST NON MILITARY:

HELICOPTER HEADSETS
GROUND MECHANIC HEADSETS
WIRED GROUND CREW HEADSETS
WIRELESS GROUND CREW HEADSETS
WIRED AIRCRAFT PUSH BACK HEADSETS
BLUETOOTH AIRCRAFT PUSH BACK HEADSETS

The HT-2 is hands free and fully autonomous; it does not need, as other testers do, a headset in perfect condition to check other headsets or microphones.
Not having to keep depressed  any  switch to activate the tester gives the advantage of using both hands to find momentary interruptions in the wiring.

This tester in case of distotion  can quickly determine if the distortion is generated in the headphones side  or the mike side of the headset. Its design, its  high quality speaker, its pure sine generator and its low distortion amplifiers make it  possible.

The HT-2 can test headsets f.e. SENNHEISER HME100, PELTOR 8006,8003, and others high impedance aviation headsets made by BOSE , DAVID CLARK , TELEX , SENNHEISER , LIGHTSPEED , CLARITY ALOFT, SIGTRONICS , PILOT AVIATION  etc.

Features:

*   Test microphones fidelity by amplifying its output, under normal speech conditions, and applying the signal to the phones or the front  panel speaker.

*   Test headphones, using  an external microphone or an internal 1 KHz sinusoidal tone.

*   Test mono and stereo headphones.

*   Test PTT switches and extension wires.

*   It is powered by a 9V battery and has a battery     alert when the battery is low.

Ford Mondeo/Fusion unveiled at 2012 Detroit show

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

Ford unveiled its new 2013 Mondeo at the Detroit auto show - the new Mondeo is in fact now a Fusion in Euro drag. Under the One Ford rules, most major car projects are in fact global affairs, so the Mondeo follows in the footsteps of the Focus, also unveiled in Detroit two years ago and brought to Europe a year later. We'll have a similarly long wait for the Ford Fusion to make the leap to the European Mondeo, with a launch slated for spring 2013.

Former General Motors CEO Robert Stempel dies

Mon, 09 May 2011

Former General Motors CEO Robert Stempel, who led the automaker during a turbulent period of recession and restructuring in the early 1990s, has died at the age of 77. "Bob was a very popular chairman with employees, and his many accomplishments as a visionary engineer included leading the development of the catalytic converter, one of the great environmental advancements in auto history," GM said in a statement. "His knowledge of battery development led to the push for the EV1 electric car, and Bob continued to build his expertise in the electrification of the automobile after he left GM in 1992." Stempel died Saturday in Florida, the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press reported Monday night.

Tesla ‘drops’ entry-level Model S. But was it ever going to be available?

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

The 40kWh version of the Tesla Model S is being dropped by Tesla in the US, but we do wonder if Tesla ever had any intention of delivering it in the first place. Tesla’s big claim ahead of the arrival of the, very impressive, Model S – and a seemingly vital part of the US taxpayer funding Tesla to develop the Model S – was that they would deliver a car that cost under $50k, something the car industry thought impossible. But when the Model S was launched, Tesla did indeed have an entry-level model available with a 4okWh battery that was listed at $58,750 (taking it almost down to the $50k mark after the US taxpayer chipped in the EV bribe) so Elon Musk could, quite reasonably, claim Tesla had delivered.
