  HT-3 HEADSET TESTER

THE HT-3 IS ONE OF THE BEST, IF NOT THE BEST TESTER FOR HIGH IMPEDANCE HEADSETS, HEADPHONES AND MIKES.

THE HT-3 IS A MICROPROCESSOR-BASED HEADSET TESTER
THAT CAN TEST NON MILITARY:

FIXED WING HEADSETS
HELICOPTER HEADSETS
GROUND MECHANIC HEADSETS
WIRED GROUND CREW HEADSETS
WIRELESS GROUND CREW HEADSETS
WIRED AIRCRAFT PUSH BACK HEADSETS
BLUETOOTH AIRCRAFT PUSH BACK HEADSETS
AUXILIARY MIKES
HIGH IMPEDANCE HEADPHONES
HEADSETS AND MICROPHONES EXTENSION WIRES

The HT-3 is hands free and fully autonomous; it does not need, as other testers do, a headset in perfect condition to check other headsets or microphones

Not having to keep depressed any switch to activate the tester gives the advantage of using both hands to find momentary interruptions in the wiring.

In case of distortion the HT-3 can quickly determine if the distortion is generated in the headphones side  or the mike side of the headset.

The HT-3  has a Vu-meter calibrated to indicate 0 dB when the level of the standard microphone signal used to adjust modulation in COMM radios, is applied. In the Sound Pressure Level (SPL) test mode, the indication of the vu-meter is used to measure the sensitivity of the microphone and compare it with other of the same type.

The HT-3 can test headsets f.e. SENNHEISER HME100, PELTOR 8006,8003, and others high impedance aviation headsets made by  BOSE , DAVID CLARK , TELEX , SENNHEISER , LIGHTSPEED , CLARITY ALOFT, SIGTRONICS , PILOT AVIATION  etc.

Features:

  • Test microphones sensitivity using the SPL-TEST mode.
  • Test microphones fidelity by amplifying its output, under normal speech conditions, and applying the signal to the phones or the front   panel speaker.
  • Test headphones using an external microphone or an internal1Khz sinusoidal tone.

  • Test mono and stereo headphones, PTT switches and extension wires.
  • It is powered by a 9V battery and has a battery alert when the battery is low.

They've teamed up with style bible GQ magazine to create the GQbyCITROËN.Designed to be a gentleman's sports car, GQ editor Dylan Jones worked with DS3 designer Mark Lloyd to create the five-door coupé. The rear pair of doors are suicide-hinged and the concave rear screen is a typical Citroën design flourish.

Kia turn to consumer reviews to drive the brand

Wed, 09 Jan 2013

Kia is launching a brand awareness campaign in the UK with the main focus being on over 3000 consumer reviews on the Kia website. It looks like Korean twins Hyundai and Kia are both going to be concentrating on building the value of their brand in 2013. Yesterday we learnt that Hyundai are to focus on brand building in 2013 rather than chasing big sales increases, and today Kia has revealed it is following a similar path with a new marketing campaign built round consumer reviews of Kia cars.

National Motorists Association says get out of the way

Wed, 25 May 2011

This is a no-brainer to AutoWeek readers, but the National Motorists Association has launched a publicity campaign urging drivers to not block the left lane and cause traffic problems. The group has named June "Lane Courtesy Month," which coincides with higher traffic volumes for the summer. The group says a driver is lane-courteous when he or she is keeping clear of the left lane unless passing slower-moving vehicles, then moving back into the right lane as soon as possible.
