HURST QUARTER STICK NEUTRAL/PARK REPLACEMENT MICRO SWITCH
Direct replacement for neutral safety switch on HURST Quarter Sticks shifters equipped with p/n 2488600 switch assembly. If you have a manual valve body in your transmission it is imperative to have a functional neutral safety switch to prevent the car from starting while in gear. Sanctioning bodies like NHRA, IHRA, and NMCA require a functional neutral safety switch to pass tech inspection and to be allowed to race.

Easy fix if yours has failed without spending $39 or more for the complete Hurst 2488600 unit, and perfect to carry as a spare. This micro switch is the correct replacement for the discontinued part which is no longer produced. Why pay over $35 for an old stock switch (if you can even find one!) when you can use this brand new switch with identical specifications? Quality manufactured by Micro Switch (a division of Honeywell) just like the original.

This is the micro switch only - not the complete actuator and housing assembly.

Fiat launches new MultiAir engines

Mon, 09 Mar 2009

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 09 March 2009 14:02 Fiat showed off the detail of its new MultiAir engines at the 2009 Geneva motor show – and we’ll finally be able to buy the tech on the new Alfa Romeo Mito supermini later in 2009. The brains behind the common-rail injection system that shook up diesel technology have now produced a new technology designed to make petrol engines more efficient and cleaner. Engineers claim the MultiAir engines – which use electrohydraulic actuation, rather than the more widely available electromechanical systems – boost power and torque, while cutting CO2 by between 10% and 25% and other pollutants by up to 60%.

Making famous friends at the Petersen museum

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

Celebrities, they're just like us! And aside from the public adulation and fame, plus our sneaking suspicion that the 12 or so really well-known car guys can actually afford their lavish hand-picked choices without so much as entering a PIN or presenting a letter of credit, celebrities bicker and fret over the cars with which they'd fill their dream garages. Difference is, when they fill their dream garages, people pay attention.

Photos reveal the all-new Ford Mustang -- of 1979

Fri, 28 Mar 2014

If you need further proof that everything old is new again, just look at the engine options for the upcoming 2015 Ford Mustang. That optional 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four is generating a lot of buzz; it's expected to help keep the car sporty while cutting down on fuel consumption, and it's going to help the Mustang make headway in overseas markets. Adding a turbo-four to the pony car equation isn't exactly novel: The Blue Oval put a forced-induction motor with the same cylinder count, configuration and displacement in the 1979 Mustang.
