NHTSA investigates Ford Super Duty for steering problem
Mon, 13 May 2013Federal U.S. safety officials are investigating about 340,000 copies of the 2008 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickup trucks for a reported steering problem. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received five complaints that an internal failure of the steering gear box results in a complete loss of steering control.

Though lacking the quality of many Californian custom cars when seen close up, the Art Cars were fascinating to see, and unlike other custom car creators, Saunders has made almost all of the cars for himself; conceiving and creating the cars without any design process beyond thinking them through and getting his hands dirty in evenings after work. Each of the cars introduced new themes not evident in their donor designs and, within the context of many salubrious but established classic car designs at the auction, they had a powerful quixotic appeal. Even those who don’t know one Ferrari from another would probably know the Daytona from its starring role in many a film – A Star is Born, The Long Goodbye, Gone in 60 Seconds and many more – or from the Miami Vice TV series (although that was a replica).
