Cadillac CTS-V Coupe confirmed

The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe will launch at the Detroit Motor Show 2010 There’s been a fair bit of news on Cadillac’s performance halo car the CTS-V of late. We had Bob Lutz taking on all comers at the Monticello Race Track in New York for the CTS-V Challenge (which turned in to a one-make competition) and the ubiquitous Mt Lutz confirming that Cadillac will be making a CTS-V Wagon (Estate, to us). And now comes confirmation of the CTS-V Coupe.

The Porsche 911 Speedster will debut at Paris We were beginning to think that Porsche would keep the Porsche 911 Speedster under wraps until the Paris Motor Show kicks off proper next week. But in the end they couldn’t resist unveiling the big brother to the Porsche Boxster Spyder (a Speedster in all but name) with a week to go ’til Paris. We’ve been expecting the first 911 Speedster from Porsche in almost a generation since we first reported back in June that we would see the Porsche 911 Speedster rocking in for Paris, along with the 911 GTS.

Lincoln aims at luxury crossovers with MKT

In an effort to grow the brand to customers who normally buy imports, Lincoln will offer up a full-size crossover, the MKT, that is due in dealerships in late summer. We saw the Lincoln MKT at the Detroit Auto Show. As sales of full-size sport/utility vehicles decline--Lincoln says industry-wide sales are down 5.2 percent for 2008--sales of crossovers are growing.
