Jaguar XFR – the Cat’s out of the bag
Sat, 10 Jan 2009The XFR is Jaguar’s answer to the barn-storming saloons from Mercedes, BMW and Audi, and if looks and spec (and the experience of driving the non-blown XF) are anything to go by, the new big Cat should get the cream. The XFR gets the new version of Jaguar’s AJV8 engine, which is a 5.0 litre supercharged lump, producing a whopping 510bhp, with the usual limited top speed of 155mph, and a 0-60 of around 4.5 seconds. Aston Martin gives luxury makeover to Toyota city car

Aston Martin on Monday released a photo of the Cygnet, which is a Toyota iQ with restyled front sheetmetal. Although officially billed a concept, reports in Britain say that Aston Martin will put the Cygnet on sale next year.

Each year, between Dec. 25 and New Year's Day, a couple hundred cars older than your favorite grandfather drive, putter, wheeze or roar onto the roads in and around Pasadena, Calif., for a daylong road trip into motoring's past in a wheeled testament to mechanical devotion.
