1. Quick Release Helmet Hardware: Unique single hand, quick eject helmet attachment system..

2. Emergency Pull: Optional pull tag for quick disconnect.

3. Padding: The shoulder and collarbone padding provide added comfort to the unit.

4. Restraint Guides: Large adult units can accept 2” or 3” seat belts. Small unit accepts 2" belts only. The restraint guides aid in keeping your harness in place under impact, even in multiple impact situations where the belts could loosen.

5. Tension: Neutralizing Tether - Using a proprietary single tension-neutralizing tether (TNT), the loads under impact are distributed through four different load paths. This unique system offers an equal distribution of forces under impact. This system also offers a full range of head motion and side and angular impact protection.

6. Low Profile Design: The low profile design makes egress in and out of the car in an emergency easier.

New diesel engine for revised Meriva

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

VAUXHALL’s clever Meriva compact MPV is to benefit from a new 1.6-litre diesel engine. The quieter, smoother and more efficient engine replaces the aging 1.7-litre unit that had been in service across the Vauxhall, Chevrolet and other General Motors brands for many years. This is the second application for the new engine, following its debut in the much larger Zafira Tourer.

Scuola Politecnica di Design Milan 2007

Fri, 13 Jul 2007

Milan, Italy is well known for being a style center, so it's fairly apt that there is a design school based in one of the most fashionable and creative areas of the city. Scuola Politecnica di Design has been molding new designers for over 50 years and has a program specifically devised for students seeking to master the art of transportation design. On June 29th the school held its annual degree show, and Car Design News went to Milan to see what the students in the Masters Course had dreamt up. This year marked the second time that Audi sponsored the course, giving students a brief that consisted of creating "a sporty, small lifestyle car for the 'Generation Mobile'": a small car for young customers living in urban areas that would also be accustomed to using iPods.
